National Families Week Postponement

Due to the current and emerging situation around COVID-19 and the importance of physical distancing to ongoing community wellbeing, we have made the decision to postpone National Families Week until such time as families and communities can again gather together.

While we are disappointed that the Week cannot proceed as normal, we strongly believe that this decision is necessary to assist in protecting the community at this time.

We will advise you about National Families Week once the situation becomes clear and social gatherings can resume, based on government advice.

This pandemic highlights the importance of the theme of National Families Week – ‘Stronger Families, Stronger Communities’ and the role families play by working together to support each other and provide care for those in the broader community. It is a time to show kindness and help protect the health and wellbeing of everyone in the community. The National Families Week Top Ten Tips provides some ideas – please adhere to physical distancing and government imposed restrictions!
